quick connect vs faston

Can someone explain me the difference please?

Mouser seem to have both options on their search tool when choosing IEC inlets.

As far as I can tell: Faston itself is a quick-disconnect terminal, but the name is or was a Trademark. But it is ubiquitous such that it has become a synonym.

It is now part of TE Connectivity. TE is a corporation which has acquired many smaller companies, and acquired the Faston product line and its name.

MartellTM is a trademark for a brand of cognac.
Cognac is a regulated term for a type of brandy.
Brandy is a term for a type of liquor.

No.
There are other forms of “quick connect” connectors that differ from FastonTM devices.
One must be careful in technical language usage.

Armagnac is more reliable.
