Negative output from a boost converter
«

Hello,
Is it possible to obtain a negative output from a dc/dc boost converter by just reversing the output rails? Why is then an inverter mostly used in LCD bias?
Thanks.
Best,

Yes it is possible. But if it is not galvanically isolated you will not have GND as common but the positive DC/DC output and GND will be your negative output.
