recomended book on electric machines

I am studying electric machines. Is there a good book anyone can recomend that does not cost 100's ? I am not going deeply into the subject but my course material as always will be hopeless.

hmm.. could i suggest my high old school books? (in italian of course) I also come from an ITIS (Perito in Elettrotecnica ed Automazione)
I remember them being very well done, with detailed graphs and drawings.. but it carefully avoided derivatives and integrals as they were the absolute last subject in the math course (second semester of final year)

Yea, I wish I kept my books from school. i liked the electronics manual that they lent us so much that I bought one even if it is in Italian
