Record a bench grinder

Where did you get the new cord from? The wires should be colour coded. Are there different colours, under the outer sheath? The middle appears to be green, which should go to the grinder's frame. Check it's connected to the ground pin of the mains plug, using the continuity tester on a multimeter.

You really should use the correct crimps and crimping tool to connect the wires to the grinder.

I can see your point, but posting in all capitals like that was an a-hole-ish thing to do. People can post in whatever thread they like. You have no authority here.

I posted in all caps so it would stand out.  I claim no authority here!
Maybe you would prefer a bold font or a large font or a different color to contrast it from the conversation?

Bold would have sounded less rude. All capitals is generally considered to be bad etiquette.
