Decided to start a new thread.

Why? You already have a thread (or is it two?) open on it!  :-//

Yeah; that makes no sense at all.

Use the original thread.

Spreading content out randomly across three threads isn't going to make it any more likely that you'll get good answers...

I do my best.

I am in near constant pain which makes it difficult to concentrate at times.

If it's any consolation, you're in good company. A lot of us around here are oldies (or less old) with medical conditions.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully better days are ahead.

Consider bookmarking the original thread to make it easier to find.

You can also look for your own posts at this URL:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/profile/?area=showposts . (I think that will give everyone their own posts.)
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/profile/?area=showposts;u=503931 (that will definitely list @fixit7's posts.)

Please trim all of that white-space from the images and upload them over here, on this forum, rather than an external hosting site.

Where did you get the new cord from? The wires should be colour coded. Are there different colours, under the outer sheath? The middle appears to be green, which should go to the grinder's frame. Check it's connected to the ground pin of the mains plug, using the continuity tester on a multimeter.

You really should use the correct crimps and crimping tool to connect the wires to the grinder.

Sometimes, I forget that I have to add attachments to post pics here.

Other sites have an option for pics where you just select the pic and upload it.

The grinder is up and running.

Everyone can relax to that "cool, calm, and collected" state.

Excuse me, I didn't realise you were a moderator.

If feel that strongly about it, then why not contact a member of the administration team, asking them to lock this thread?

Don't be an ass!

The OP started at least 3 threads on the same subject.
Just trying to consolidate the discussion.

I can see your point, but posting in all capitals like that was an a-hole-ish thing to do. People can post in whatever thread they like. You have no authority here.

I posted in all caps so it would stand out.  I claim no authority here!
Maybe you would prefer a bold font or a large font or a different color to contrast it from the conversation?

Bold would have sounded less rude. All capitals is generally considered to be bad etiquette.

A 'Please' would have done it - then it would have read as a request, not an order.

Then report the topic and explain the problem and we (moderators) will do our best to solve it. There is not a lot else you can do but start an argument.
