repairing washing machine board Samsung Q1235V

Display pop up for some seconds then goes off maybe protection thing the critical component IC DIP8 TNY267P
across pin1 and 8 with unsoldered C38 i get 80ohm is that normal for this IC?

Pin 1 and 8 should not be shorted.You have to replace the ic.

I think the zener might be shorted in the ic it is right across 1 and 8.

Replace the ic

No its not normal look at the block diagram

I think TNY2xx IC are like rifa caps.Some time ago tny277p in the psu of my computer blowed up with a loud sound.I replaced it and the psu was fine.

In the datasheet it says not recommended for new designs

Yeah it has protection.

Bypass pin(pin1) is the connection point for 100nF external bypass capacitor for internal 5.8V supply.It must not be shorted. It's just for that cap.

If you mean C36 is levelling the ic, yes.

You need to replace the ic to fix it.
