Update I found a dead monitor on ebay that had the newer USB 3 plug not the micro USB 3 plug.

I swapped the USB on daughter board and left the cpu board. The monitor is working and my duster inlaw is happy.

Ill try and repair the trace on the spare board and attach the new smd plug for practice
