Title: rigol ds1104z voltage measurement way too high
Post by: trebolonious on February 15, 2015, 08:40:13 pm
Hello, I am trying to figure out why when i measure a 9vdc source the scope is telling me its 50voltw and sometimes its saying 110v

Something seems very wrong here

The measurement function is giving me way too high readings

Any help would be great

Check your probes - if you have accidently switched to 1X, and the scope expects 10X, then the reading will be 10 times too large.

Hi
Thanks for fast responce, It is not the 10x setting on the probe or on screen. At least no as far as it looks.

And I will send a screen shot and describe the setup in a couple minuets, I need to install the software on my pc

I'm pretty sure you can take a screenshot using the scope interface and save it to a USB drive. You don't need to install any Rigol software.
