Rohde und Schwarz NGPV power supply!

Hi guys,
I need some help and some info's from you, please.
I have 2 power supplies from R&S NGPV (8V/ 10A) and a recovered trafo from a NGPV 20V/ 10A.

In the upper link there are 6 pics atached in a mediafire link.
1- since I didn't found any manual or any kind of documentation for this, tell me please what is the purpose
of that "on/ off capacitor" in the first picture and what is the purpose of that "monitoring" option.
2- the second power supply is working fine but the only issue is with the fan. It makes a powerfull noise like
is touching something inside. What you recommend me to do for solving this issue? replace the fan with some
separate circuit?
3 - in the las pic is the recovered transformer. I've received it exactly like this. Any idea about it's pinout and
if I can use it in other application?
