Sanity check on panel mount deutsch style connectors
« on: September 29, 2023, 10:09:45 pm »
Hi,

I have started using deutsch style connectors (specifically Amphenol's AT version) for a DIY project.  The connectors are working great for my project, however I am looking for a panel mount version of the connectors.  After a lot of googling, the only panel mount version I have been able to find is a receptacle which has exposed pins.  In my application, the panel mount would be the hot side, with the exposed pins I wouldn't think this would be appropriate to use.

Wanted to see if I was missing something or if these connectors are just not used for this application.  Are another style of connectors used for panel mounts?

Thanks!

Card edge used be a standard once.

The problem with pins is that the orientation must be accurate or thickness high.
Eurocard has quite thin pins but slide-in distance is also quite long.
