Hi all,
I’m not an electrical tech but a motor mechanic that sets up EFI and wiring looms.
What I’m trying to do is capture a REF and SYNC signal from an EFI engine and copy the capture to my signal generator.
Is this possible? I have looked around on the net but did not find a lot so far so I thought I would ask here.

Signal
Ref 38 – 2 teeth from a high-speed Hall sensor twice per cycle
SYNC 1 tooth per cycle Hall sensor
Scope Rigol (DS2072)
Sig Generator Rigol (DG1032)
So the question is, can I capture and save the above using 2 channels and load them up in the sig generator to output for testing without the engine running down the track also for future projects?
I see there is some software for the Sig generator to make up arbitrary signals etc, Is that what is needed to make up something like that? I’d like to copy exactly what the engine is producing so I know it is an exact copy.
Any advice would be appreciated.

from the DG1000Z series user manual:
- page 2-75:
Arb File
Store the user-defined arbitrary waveform in internal or external memory in
“*.RAF” format.
...etc.
- page 2-72:
DG1000Z also could interconnect with RIGOL oscilloscope which supports USB-TMC
seamlessly and rebuilt and output the waveform data collected by the oscilloscope
losslessly.

Well i had a go at it, Using the USB i did manage to get a pattern but it was not like what was on the scope so I tried to save a csv file to a USB stick and then
read it on the DG1032, no matted how i did it and what format i tried it always came up with an error, invalid file or something like that.
Not sure what im doing wrong, seems like it should be an easy task?
