Semiconductors for low temperatures (military grade?)
« on: October 25, 2016, 10:09:47 am »
I am confused. Usually I do not need semis for low temp but now my project require to use them.
For ICs situation is clear - in datasheet must be written range of temperatures which must comply to design requirements.

What about diodes and transistors? I usually see only maximum allowed junction temperature. Does it mean that such device can work only from 0 not for sub zero temperatures? Sorry guys question is little bit stupid but I have never made anything for less-than-zero.
