Simple Speaker Selector
« on: January 12, 2025, 06:42:32 pm »
Hello community,

I am trying to design a simple spekaer selector for 100V line speakers.
I will leave you part of the circuit here.

I have a serious doubt regarding any clicks or pops that might occur at the during switching to one of the 4 zones provided.
I assume that the length of the cables could affect this even more as the parasitic capacitances could increase the problem.
What are your thoughts on this? Could anyone recommend any modifications that could be made?

You need a snubber that disconnects later.
Maybe two relays per channel is needed.

(plus lesser brands from the work shop of the world)

You need to account for amps that do not have a common ground.  It looks like you're only switching one speaker wire.
Also, in amps that do have a common ground, you want to keep your wires next to each other to prevent noise from cross-talk and ground loops.
