| Servo speed controller swap out |
| (1/1) |
| TheSniper:
All, I have a Servo that the speed controller is a S49 Linear hall effect sensor. Is it possible to just replace it with a Potentiometer? 10K? wire for wire.? Basically the controller uses a mechanical foot pedal. and I want to control it with a knob. I hoe the question is clear enough. TIA! Sam |
| Signal32:
Yes, you should be able to replace it with a circuit that contains a potentiometer. You can't just swap it with a potentiometer and get the exact behavior. Depending on the circuit around it you can design a potentiometer circuit that acts the same as the S49. |
| Vtile:
You should study the point of signal interface at which kind of signal the hall-effect sensor setup gives the rest of the controller. |
