Hello,

Some time ago I discovered SiFam Tinsley. I wrote them off as just another cheap Chinese DMM company, like UNI-T. Their product specs and pricing reflected that. But that was partially because I was looking at some low-end (MS8221B) and some older products (VA801) (The newer model is identical in accuracy. It just with more features.) But today I became curious, and I looked them up...

They claim their headquarters to be in Georgia USA, but the company history page lists their latest location as England https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08748046 . Their current CEO started a multimeter company,  Rishabh Instruments Pvt. Ltd., in India. I'm uncertain if SiFam was acquired by them or if they acquired the Indian company (SiFam has no wiki page so this is all from my simple searches). I'd guess that their instruments are manufactured by their partner company Shanghai Yihua V&A Instruments Co (which is Chinese). You may recall the Yihua brand of soldering equipment, one of which I purchased some years ago. It still works well, despite being stored in a non-climate-controlled garage in FL USA.

I'd guess that famous multimeter company Simpson, which seems to have moved on from multimeters, either rebranded some of their products, or SiFam Tinsley purchased the right to rebrand their products under the Simpson brand.

Simpson's 50125 clamp meter's datasheet is identical to SiFam's Delta Power 1000A 400A AC-DC clamp meter's datasheet, minus the brand name. Their offerings for DMMs also appear to be identical, with the datasheets I examined (50120 vs. Gamma 6070), only differing slightly, E.G. using only C instead of C and F to describe temperature units.

Here are some links to the info I just summarized:
https://www.sifamtinsley.com/company-profile
https://www.sifamtinsley.com/management-profile
https://www.sifamtinsley.com/group-companies

I intend to do a review of the aforementioned clamp meter, as I purchased it, and I'll get back to you on it's performance and accuracy.

Aside from that, I wish I knew more. This company is quite the curious find. Considering they claim to be a big and old company (75 years), I'm surprised no one else has responded yet.

Maybe someone from the UK knows more?

EDIT: The clamp meters have slightly different sized clamps. I suspect the Simpson model has been discontinued. So it's quite possible that the clamp meter was updated in terms of physical construction and internals. As mentioned, the specs remain the same.
