Smallest wire connectors?
« on: July 22, 2023, 03:04:34 pm »
Hello EEV people,
I'm looking for really smallest wire to wire connectors, with male and female version; I have the classic "Dupont" connectors, but even these are oversized for this use.
The idea is to add lights to a model kit, this means voltage and current are quite small for most lights. (The model kit is Blade Runner's police spinner)
Do you know of a model that fits this requirements ?

Thanks for reading!
Matth

Because "Matth" was already taken.

You can try JST SHR, but you'd need to buy precrimped wire or get the tiny crimper.

In model trains things are just soldered to the tiny pcb.

Molex Picoblade are a quite good balance between size and robustness - 1.25mm pitch I think. You can get pre-crimped leads, and cheap knockoffs on Aliexpress

Mike's Electric Stuff: High voltage, vintage electronics etc.
Day Job: Mostly LEDs
