Title: Smart switch
Post by: rthorntn on September 24, 2020, 06:58:22 am
Hi,

I have an on/off rocker switch, it connects between Terminal 6 and 2 (<20mA of current flow) on a solar transfer switch, when the switch is off (default) my solar panels go to inverter 1, when the switch is on my solar panels go to inverter 2.

I want to automate this, preferably with something off the shelf, smartphone control kind of thing.

I'm pretty sure I need it to have a latching relay to replace a mechanical rocker switch.

If it has a ESP wifi then I will probably flash it if I can (ESPHome or Tasmota) so I can connect it to Home Assistant later?

Has anyone seen anything like this, I see things like Shelley, Sonoff and Tuya, a lot of that stuff seems to be deal with switching AC stuff on/off?

Thanks.
Richard
