Title: Source for very small headers? (twice the density) FOUND
Post by: cdev on September 03, 2017, 11:48:34 pm
where can I get some very small headers, to make a breakout board of sorts for a very small device?

It basically is "half size" meaning half the distance of regular headers.

This is basically a hack to update an old wireless access point's internals with more modern hardware- because it seems a shame to throw it away- so, keeping the case and jacks, antenna, etc..

What's a "regular" header? 0.100"?

0.050" headers exist, as do the metric 2.54, 1.27, 1.0mm and so on. Take a look at Digi-Key, we can't do your homework for you.

This is kind of similar to what I want to do.

They arent available in small quantities for cheap.

FOUND..  needed to specify "1.27mm" not "1.27 mm"

2.54mm and 1.27mm are, canonically, .1" and .05" respectively.
