ST Microcontroller
« on: May 14, 2017, 05:15:44 am »
I recently purchased a microcontroller and updated the firmware from the manufacturer via USB.

I changed some of the code and recompiled the firmware, then uploaded it. Since then, I am unable to connect via USB. Have I bricked the device?

I've ordered a ST-linkv2 programmer to try and re-load the original firmware using SWD.

Is there another route I can take to get my device working again?  |O

There is no way to "brick" most modern microcontrollers.

Don't waste your time with all those USB/UART bootloaders, real tools are cheap. Wait for your ST-link and it will program the device.
