If you didn't get answer then it's because nobody tried, simple as that.
Who knows the heater used in these guns. 240V? 24V? Temperature sensor output?
Would need at least a custom firmware running on the said boards and some hardware mods.
You still need the vacuum pump, the enclosure...in the end it's just better to get the real thing.

Sorry. I used neither. I have found a review on KSGER All In One Digital High-End Rework Station STM32/T12.

Or maybe just the answer to your question (“has anyone used one of these”) was “no, nobody has”. Sheesh. That attitude is a way to ensure nobody helps you, even if they could. (Would you help someone if you saw they had accused everyone of being “stuck up and to [sic] good”??)

I can't speak to the desoldering guns but the Ksger soldering stations are pretty good and some of the alternate "stm32" based ones are reported to be crap.  I thought I was buying a stm32 based one and ended up getting an Intel MCU based soldering station.  Part of my goal was to use the open source firmware available.  Oh!  That firmware is by David Alfa!
