Hi.

When my fluke 187 selects the capacitance measurment mode  manual range(only on 100uF and 1000uF), it reads strange values with the lead open.

lead open
Manual Range   100uF  2.0uF
                      1000uF  16uF
Is this normal?

Lead open status

It is normal to read very small values (0.067nF) at the manual range 1nF and 10nF, but it is difficult to understand that only the 100uF and 1000uF ranges are strange values.

Five hyphens are displayed in other manual ranges (lead open 1uF, 10uF, 10mF, 50mF).

Hi,
It is ok, same at me.
It is sufficient to push leads into terminals.
Try it!

Thank you.

Insert two leads into the input terminal and it is OK.
