When you have that access, it is much easier to apply some flux, and heat / solder under the IC. You'd have to have the pins? free first though. A pain, but doable. |

I think dave did one with his soldering using many vias underneath. Vias aren't that hard to find as usually the center pad is for heat transfer and is likely to rout it to the other side to cool things down. JS |
