Title: Tektronix 2215
Post by: Cali-Sam on May 15, 2013, 05:04:45 pm
I just got my tektronix 2215 60mhz in the mail, powered up but I can't get the second Chanel to trace on the screen. I don't feel like reading the manual. ...I bought it from eBay for 150 USD. Any thoughts on this scope? I mean is it a reasonable scope for someone who had never had a scope?

Just to check the obvious, you have switched to either CH2 or both? May be worth switching the input to Gnd too.

Certainly the 2215 is a very reasonable analog scope for someone that has never had a scope.  As with any tool, you do have to invest a little time reading/learning how to use its features.  What settings did you try when trying to display the trace for CH2?

You have just spent 150 bucks, why the aversion to reading the manual ??. Tektronix printed it for a reason.
