Title: Tektronix 2230 question
Post by: Delillusions on August 29, 2013, 05:47:50 pm
Hi!
Sorry for interrupting all of you, but I have a question.
The time has to for me to buy an Oscilloscope, and I found a Tektronix 2230 scope, with a reasonable price and in a very good shape.
I know, that Tektronix is quite good manufacturer for O.Scopes. What are you're thoughts about this Scope?
Actually I'm looking for scopes, that are at least 50MHz, or above, and it has to be Analog. I know the the 2230 is a digital storage and the digital storage only has 20Ms/s, but I don't need that part. If I need a digital scope, then I would buy a "true"  DSO.

This scope would be for me, and I need it in my little "workshop" at home. So it's not for professional use, it would be more accurate to say it's for semi-professional use.

Thank you for you're help!

Best regards!
Del

If the scope is working well, and you think it will meet your needs, and you think the price is OK, then what is the question?

Thank you for you're answer dfmischler!

To make it clear.
This scope meets all of my current needs and more, so it should be good for a while. It works, and the price is good too and it's in a good condition.

My question:
Is this a good product?

I read and heard things about this type of scope, but I would like to know, what people in this forum heard about this scope.

Thank you again!

Yes, it's good.  If you need an oscilloscope, the oscilloscope works, and it is a good price, then get it.
