YAY, my meter is not faulty afterall!

It would still be interesting to hear Brymen response on this. While technically the faster beep might be better, it's significantly different than it used to be on the same models. This can create some issues in a place that has hundreds of those meters purchased from different times...
I can live with that but honestly i would prefer the slower beep. This was one of the (many) reasons i bought this meter. As in, it seemed perfectly balanced between two worlds, being fast enough to be useful and not so fast that the sound is messed up. My last meter did not have any latching on the sound, even the volume depended on the contact quality and i grew to hate that scratchy sound even though it too was very fast to respond.
