Temperature Switch Symbol For Electronic Schematics
« on: April 19, 2025, 02:15:10 pm »
Hello,
what symbol of a temperature switch you suggest me to use on my schematics. I found the below symbols at the attached picture (Temperature & Thermal Switches.png) but I beleive they are for schematics where made by electricians.

A pretty standard symbol would be a NC or NO switch like a pushbutton with a circle around it and a "T".  You might also label it "Overtemp".

I just use the circle-T with the operational stats in the circle.    See the pic.              Mike

They look good. But what font did you use for the red lettering? It looks out of place. It's not the dreaded Comic Sans, is it?

I use my favorite font "Comic Sans" when I want to emphasize on something essential.

Thanks calzap & jwet for the help.

I like the OP's symbol much better. (Even with Comic Sans!)

Hate those obviously-drawn-by-a-1990s-era-graphics-program looking symbols. Ugh.

Oh my goodness! I've never heard that said before about Comic Sans. ;D  Still, good for you for thinking different.

Perhaps a distinction between understandable/readable and "aesthetically pleasing" makes sense here?

I’m curious about the origin of the “one cycle of a square wave” figure indicating temperature activation found in some these symbols.
