Hi guys I have a frequency counter (HP5315a) but no probes. Im going to use this for calibration purposes of audio gear only (synthesizers, drum machines, etc etc) I’m a bit confused as to which probes to use. Would anyone recommend something ? Can I use this one maybe ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hantek-PP-150-X1-X10-100MHz-Oscilloscope-Clip-Passive-Probe-BNC-Port-Probe/123394470806?pageci=4d2f85c2-47f1-4233-9f91-82b9c20fa620&epid=1958370226 |

You should be fine with bnc to alligator-clips for audio range, no need for an oscilloscope probe for high bandwidth. |

I agree with alligator clips for audio use. You can also have an unterminated BNC connector/cable and solder when necessary. Probes are usually not used for frequency counters. |

I see :) Thanks for the replies! |

This is basically the same as what I use most of the time. I got all mine separately though, and from different sources, so I can't vouch for the quality of these. https://www.ebay.com/itm/BNC-to-Alligator-Clips-BNC-to-Mini-Test-Clips-BNC-to-BNC-Cable-Oscilloscope-Test/113322032324 |
