| TS100 Soldering Iron: Firmwares, Maintenance, Mods? |
| (1/1) |
| Mp3:
Hey everyone, I got a mini TS100 soldering iron and it is honestly pretty cool. Just wondering if anyone's ever used any of the custom firmwares available for it. I've found at least one Github page with a fully open source firmware on it. Just curious if anyone has used any of these firmwares or other mods to it. By the way, I'm trying to learn how to measure a screw properly with digital calipers since i almost immediately lost one of the screws that holds either the soldering tip or the ground wire. If anyone happens to already know what size the screws are, let me know, it comes with 2 spares and it sucks to have to use one of the spares within a minute of trying to put it together! |

The main alternative firmware is Ralim's. The current RC4 pre-release is looking pretty good. Its PID controller is now optimized for the thermal characteristics of each individual tip type. https://github.com/Ralim/ts100/releases I think the screws are M2. |
