Tuning servo motors with a scope. Never used a scope before
« on: February 19, 2015, 03:09:58 am »
Hi
I have a project for my new oscilloscope and I`m a bit uncertain how to proceed. I have a 3 axis
cnc machine that I've built and I`d like to tune the servos. I am totally new to the use of oscilloscopes
and I`m very nervous about potentially shorting out the new scope.
Here is a link to what I`d like to accomplish. Hoping for some guidance. This link has very detailed info
that I`m using for my testing. http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCServoTuning.htm
I guess my real question is how easy is it to kill a scope.
If anyone is interested I have a on-going thread at this location that details what I`m attempting to test.

I approach the thinking of all of my posts using AI in the first instance. (Awkward Irregularity)
