Title: Uknown MELF Component
Post by: dk-001 on September 30, 2020, 10:02:59 am
Hi,

Would anyone can help me to identify the MELF component in the attached picture? It is laid out with capacitors at the end of a power supply channel output. I'm inclined to say that it is a resistor (forming RC filter) but since there are no color rings I'm also hesitant.

Thanks...

Hi,
I bet also it's capacitor
nope, it must be a metal film resistor, maybe for discharge?

Can you sketch the part of the circuit where it is in relation to surrounding components ? Does it exhibit a measurable resistance . It could just be a jumper . Does it show continuity one way but not the other . Could be a diode  . Does the resistance climb to infinite with DMM attached . It could be a capacitor .
