No power out from PCB
« on: January 12, 2022, 08:33:30 am »
Hi there, first timer here. I’ve taken on a job of repairing a wine cooler, and have confirmed the PCB to be the problem. Power comes in, most components are getting power, but the final relay before the output to the compressor is not closing. With the relay not closing my first thought was it was faulty but I removed the relay and it tests fine on a 12V battery.

Any other suggestions? Any parts on here that stand out as worth checking?

Thanks!

Sorry about that, here ya go. The blank spots are where I removed a diode and relay for testing. Both tested fine, but I haven’t soldered them back in yet.

what i normally do is take two pictures. then in a image editing software. on a phone. overlay the copper side or switch from two picture.

draw sketch of the circuit. i think there is a temperature knob somewhere. or a controller

So, it is confirmed that the relay is not getting power while in the board. Have you performed a continuity test of the PCB? Found any broken trace?
