Stubby fingers vs Ben

So, I am building the Ben Eater 6502 breadboard machine for fun.

The problem I have is with my stubby fingers: I simply cannot get all the leads into the breadboard without squashing it all.

What it need is something I can put the cpu into and then feed wires out to the breadboards to give more room.

Every time I Google “break out board”, etc. I can ads for bl00dy rpi and so on.

Is there any generic thing I can get (40 pin) that will do the job?

Serrated tooth tweezers about 6" long.  Some people call them "pick-ups."  That's what I use.  My fingers aren't particularly stubby, but in the Winter, they are cracked, bleeding, and painful.  If you can get non-magnetic ones, you will be happy, but regular also work.
