Hello all.
I recently found on aliexpress a very simple USB tester to test all my camera and iPhone data cables and I really wish I had found this tester years ago. It would have saved me several headaches.
The tester is a very simple board, with on the top side one connector for power, two power side connectors for USB-A and USB-C cables and on the bottom side 3 device side connectors for micro-USB, USB-C and Apple lightning cables.
With it I found immediately which cables are for charging only (do not have data lines) and which cables are broken and ready for the garbage bin.

Example of a good iPhone cable. power and data lines light up, only CC remains dark because only USB-C cables may have that extra connection.

This is an example of a good USB-C cable with all 5 leds on.

Another example of a good USB-C cable that lacks the CC connection, may be good for some devices but not for others.

I found that this cable is for charging only. Has no data lines whatsoever and that's the reason that when I tried to connect my camera to the computer it said there was no device connected...

Last example is a broken cable. Only tho lines are actually connected, the ground and one of the data. Directly to the trash...
