I found my iRig 2 (
https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/irig2/) that I thought I had sold. Could I use it to run signal generator and oscilloscope software on Windows? I installed audacity, which should let me perform a frequency analysis. I want to play around with audio filters and it'll be interesting to see their effect, not just hear how they change the audio signal.
I realize there's always a chance I could damage my laptop if I can use it in these ways, but that's always an excuse to buy a newer one, right?
To clarify I just need a simple sine wave generator. Also, I have a tiny DSO so the oscilloscope software would be more for learning the more complicated aspects of oscilloscopes than anything else. Not necessarily using it as my main scope.
