So I want to reduce the number of USB cables to a board from 3 to 1. The devices are a microcontroller, a jtag programming chip, and an external camera. I need to be able to use USB 3.1 speeds for the camera. The connectors are USB-C.
I'm attempting to use TUSB8042A
http://www.ti.com/product/TUSB8042Aas the hub chip which then communicates to all the other chips for me. I plan on keeping the USB traces in that area of the PCB only and keeping them pretty short and the same length.
Are their any other words of wisdom I should know about before attempting a board like this? I've attached a simple drawing.
- Just learned that the male side USB-C connectors all require a 0.8mm pcb.
