using op07 below its 0 deg C limit
« on: January 19, 2021, 10:27:52 am »
Hello.

Does anyone have an idea as to the feasibility of using an opamp (OP07,say) at -25 deg. C, when it is rated for 0 deg. C min? Anyone who has done it? Possible pitfalls, change in parameters perhaps, bias starvation, or failure with extended use? Would appreciate your opinions and data.

thanks and regards,
asap

Where do you get the 0c value?

The datasheet I have specifies it to -55c.

There are different versions of the OP07, with different temperature ratings. As far as I'm aware, the only difference is the package. The OP07E is only rated down to 0°C. To work at -25°C, use the OP07C, which is rated down to -40°C.
