Hi. I would like to use a powerbank to power some of my projects and have a basic. From my understanding, a port on a powerbank that is rated for 2.1A can provide that much current correct? Reason I ask is because I recently came across some topics and there were some disucssion that talked about having resistors on the D+/D- lines but from my understanding that is on the charger end (so this case the powerbank) and I just want to make sure.
I'm working on a LED board that will require about 800mA @ 5V and I'm looking to use a powerbank to power the board. I just want to make sure the board can get at least 1A of current.

Somewhere on the powerbank it should say something like: 5V -- 2.1 A
Yes, you can draw 2.1 amps. Your 800mA board will be just fine.
