Battery Power UpGrade Questions

Hello all,

I have a small devise that takes the small 3.7 / 870mAH LiPo Battery in the attached photo.

I would like to up grade this devise to a larger Li-Ion 3000 MaH Bat.

I've been told that the PCB connected to the LiPo Bat is a BMS.

If that is true, would it be possible to use the same BMS on the larger Mah Li Ion Bat, or would I need to figure out a

more proper BMS for the larger bat ?
