Hantek 6022 be how to use it
« on: February 06, 2018, 03:17:23 pm »
Hi everyone!

I'm totally new in this field but i want to get started as soon as possible with this new present of mine.

I already calibrated the sensors but i'm quite unsure how to make it work without any damage for my pc.

I mean, what should i have to do to measure secondary ignition systems for example without damage anything?

Thanks a lot

Antonio

If you have to measure HV directly than a probe for that purpose
almost mandatory.

If all you are trying to see is waveshape, then you can make a sniffer loop
that magnetically extracts waveform from its field source.

If you are new a good practice is buid a zener protection circuit for your scope
until you feel comfortable.

I've been using scopes forever and I like this one for portable use at camp. One thing I don't like is that it is pretty easy to overload the A/D.  Rule of thumb, anytime you see a flat top to the waveform without noise it has clipped. Wish they would reserve RED for that and change the color of that section of the trace to indicate it. I'd say a X100 probe with this scope is almost mandatory. The X1 X10 switch is just to easy to have in the wrong position.

You guys are awesome! Thank you!

Do you think i'm going to be able to perform any kind of test with this device?

My father runs a body repair shop and I would like to expand our activity to electronics, hence my little knowledge  :palm:
