I want to make a Turkish "oscilloscope basics" video for electronics beginners, to be published on YT and linked in my own forum. and trying to decide if a CRO would be better for this or a DSO.
The advantage of a CRO is that, pretty much all CRO's out there have nearly the same user interface. If you have used one CRO, you will be able to fully use another brand/model CRO within 10 minutes. But the disadvantage is that, when somebody watches the video and decides to buy an oscilloscope, he/she will probably buy a new DSO. So this kinda reduces the usefulness of the video.
The advantage of a DSO is that, first of all, I have one available right now

But the disadvantage is that all DSO's have a different user interface. The screen looks different, the menus are different. And in terms of capabilities and features, DSO's from different vendors and models are VERY DIFFERENT. Also the DSO that I'm using is not something that a beginner would be buying. So how useful would it be to make a video with this DSO?
I'm leaning towards making the video with my DSO, but only sticking to features and capabilities that are videly available and that are fundamentel to a scope's operation. But I'm willing to hear any suggestions you guys have about this.
