| WAOKS Model 3.65V 10A battery charge |

| ascsunday:
I have a WAOKS Model 3.65V 10A battery charger and a Powerizer 3.2V 100Ah (320Wh) LiFeMnPO4 Rechargeable battery pack. There does not seem to be a way to connect the battery to the charger. The plugs are not compantible. Do I just cut the end off of the output cord on the charger and hard wire it to the studs on the battery? |

I wouldn't do that if I were you. The charger's 3.65V output suggests it's designed to work with a different type of Lithium cell. Most Lithium cells have a nominal voltage of 3.7V, but LiFeMnPO4 cells, like the one you are using, have a lower voltage of 3.2V. With Lithium cells, it is EXTREMELY important that the charger explicitly supports and is configured for the exact chemistry, voltage and structure (number of cells in series/parallel) of the battery attached. Mismatches will, at best, trip the charger/battery's protection circuitry (if they have any). At worst, they may cause the battery to be damaged, catch fire, even explode. |

3.6v is the charge voltage for a lifepo4 cell, just like 4.2v is the charge voltage for a 3.7v cell and 4.35v for a 3.85v cell. |
