What are the "planner diffused PNPN devices" ?
(1/1)
sdancer75:
Hi,
I have an XL1225 medium power low voltage transistor which the datasheet description says that : "The XL1225/ML1225 silicon controlled rectifiers are high
performance planner diffused PNPN devices. These parts are intended for low cost high volume applications. ".
Definitely, I didn't understand what it really says.
So, my question is what exactly is doing this type of transistor & where are they used?

That's not a transistor, it's a thyristor, sometimes called SCR
