Hi All,
I'm trying to repair an old board that has some broken pins. They are 0.1" spacing, solder on one side and plugs into a standard DIP socket on the other. They are similar to machined IC socket pins, except a little longer.
Can someone help identify them? What exactly are they called? I tried looking through farnell/futurlec/ebay but can't find a good match.

"turned pin" should get you to the right section

Haven't seen those exact ones, but are these what you mean? One end fits into a machine socket, other end used to solder to a PCB.

Probably easiest to get standard length ones as above, and stack up using sockets. The sockets also give you a more easily replaceable unit when they get damaged again.

Just go to the Samtec website and you can specify the exact length you want,
http://www.samtec.com/connectors/standard-board-to-board/100-inch-square-post/terminals.aspx (http://www.samtec.com/connectors/standard-board-to-board/100-inch-square-post/terminals.aspx)
They make all their connectors to order, so no worries about minimum order quantities or suchlike
