Are These Fragrances Good For Cleaning Lens And Electronics?

I have heard that isopropyl is good for cleaning lens and electronics but i have 2 fragrances that i don't know if i can use for cleaning:

1st Fragrance:



2nd Fragrance:




I don't see isopropyl in contents, but can these be used for lens and electronics?

Without reading any of the labels, I can still say that the answer is no. PC screen cleaner maybe, as that is isopropyl+alcohol+detergent, but ideally I would want it detergent free. Anything else can leave an oily deposit, or even etch the coating on the optics.

get the highest percentage isopropyl alcohol available. its cheap.

Forget the fragrances, they contain colors and perfume oils.

They are not clean enough for this job.

What i wanted to know is if perfumes can still contain isopropyl which may not be mentioned in the ingredients.

I wonder where i would get 100% isopropyl...

I can speak only for germany where you can get it at the chemist's. I think I paid about 4,00 Euro for 0,5l some years ago.

In Greece we have local manufacturers with legal refinery machines, they produce 95 rate of pure alcohol.
The state had add an extremely high tax on it, so to not be used as mixing substitute for making alcohol based drinks.
And I get the 250ml  at 10.50 Euros, at the local supermarket.

Use the strongest and cleanest (most transparent, unflavored) vodka you can find.

Then, some distilled water to clean up if needed.

The point about cleaning is that that what you are cleaning with needs to be cleaner than the thing you are cleaning. Otherwise it's like trying to clean glass with a dirty rag instead of a clean cloth.

If you try to clean something with a liquid that contains all sorts of smelly oils, fragrances and other stuff, then you are going to deposit all sorts of smelly oils and fragrances all over the thing you are trying to clean. That's good if you want smelly fragrant lenses, but no good if you want clean lenses.

use Lenspen. this is an advice from someone who've been in photography for years, disassembling and clean the internal part of the lens elements. any fragrance, cheapo lens cleaner are a joke for cleaning lens. the only thing you will gain from this jokers is experience.

I use stuff sold in the auto stores for removing condensed water in your gas tank (gas line antifreeze).  You have to look for a brand that only contains isopropyl alcohol.  There are many that have other additives, for example injector cleaner, you don't want them. The generic brand I use in the picture attached is 99% isopropyl alcohol  cost US$1.39 for 10 oz. bottle.
