Title: What is this connector and where can I buy them?

Hello all.

I need a specific connector for a project but I can't find out what it is called or where to buy them. Could someone help me out please?

The connector is roughly 5mm wide and the pins are roughly 2mm apart.

I think it is a JST = Japan Solderless Tag

looks like a standard 2mm JST connector to me... Google is your friend.

JST is just a manufacturer not a connector type... I think that is a PH-series connector http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=199 (http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=199)

Google image search is useful for finding connectors - even a vague description wil often get you something close on the first search.

Sorry Simon, i had intended that now that "we" had identified the likely general classification of JST, that Google would be able to help from there.

That's a deliberate ploy by Google to make me turn off my PC and go help the family with dinner...
Or prop up some local food manufacturer.

Thanks so much for the very quick replies. I was able to find what I needed now that I know what they are called.
