BYV32E-200 vs BYV32E-200P
« on: February 03, 2020, 11:19:40 pm »
Hello lads,

Question,

Are these the exact same parts, original BYV32E-200 vs the mouser.com one which has a "P" at the end. Eg. BYV32E-200P can the P one be used in place of the non P?

Thank you!

It looks like the 'P' version has an isolated mounted plate but the non P has the cathode connected to the mounting plate.

At https://www.digipart.com/part/BYV32E-200 scan down to the Arrow listing and click on the part numbers for more information.

The 'P' version should work fine with or without the pink insulator. The checker shows that the original parts is probably O.K..

Ok, I received the new part with the P and it is exactly the same. Tab still tied to center pin. It appears to be a newer model and works fine in place of the old one. Even though the old one is not dead. :-)
