Title: What's the problem of my TV? How should I appraoch?
Post by: donnierofl on February 17, 2015, 07:36:26 pm
I'm brand new here so I don't know tech terms so please bear with me.

So I have a Samsung LCD TV LN-T5271F.

The problem I'm getting right now is, the screen displays in to double.. So basically I have two screen being displayed in a single TV.. then... after 20 minutes it comes back to normal.. the single screen!

It was getting annoying so I wanted to fix it therefore I dissected this poor thing.

Well I was kind of hoping it would be the caps.. but it the device didn't want to be so nice to me =[

So which would I have to replace? I was going to just buy the main board but I heard about the eevblog so I gave it a visit.

I would greatly appreciate any help!

Thank you and have a very awesome day

I can't think of any other details that I need to include, but if you need me to fill you in, please do tell me so and I'd love to

You are going to need:

An isolation transformer. :scared:

The Service Manual :-DD

A good scope.  :-BROKE

Intermittents require some good luck, and not quite everything is replacing caps.  :(
But who knows, maybe you will get lucky? :-+

Sometimes temperature related faults are easier to find using a cooling spray. It could be useful in a first approach.
