It seems there are two styles. I am creating a PCB for the ones I have, the metal ones with the one center terminal and four mount points, but DipTrace only has a pattern I can find for the second, the plastic kind with two terminals and four mount points. No problem, I just updated the pattern. But I wonder if there is any practical difference between these two styles? I have the metal ones that are nice and solid and personally I like them. I bet the plastic ones are cheaper.

Easy , metal one

The metal one will provide a stronger mounting to the front panel or whatever. The plastic one provides isolation from the panel, which can be very useful if shorting the outside of the connector to the panel would cause a ground loop.
