which parts for wiring a 4pin connector

Does this need ferrules or something else?

Perhaps Digikey carries the appropriate parts for this specific connector I haven't done much connectors not sure which is correct method to get this working.

The mating connector and associated contact pins/sockets are shown at the bottom of the Digikey page you linked to.
You will also need a crimping tool.

Going to obtain these https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/350547-1/A14300-ND/213765/?itemSeq=292610804 how do they plate the inside with 2 separate metals without plating the outside with the same metals?

Probably plated before stamping.

Helpful hint: Proprietary crimping tools can be very, very expensive. I recommend a good set of needle nose pliers to close up the crimp much like the real tool would. Do NOT solder them, as they will be unreliable and the resistance can vary/cause fires and other badness
