Hey all. Looking for a couple of things regarding a hall effect sensor as a position sensor. First of all, does anybody have a clear description, tutorial, video on how a hall effect switch acts as a position sensor? Secondly, I want to demonstrate how an automotive throttle position sensor is used to provide the ECM position information using a circuit that can be built relatively easy. Any ideas?
Please do not confuse this with a camshaft/crankshaft position sensor. I am looking for a way to demonstrate how it replaces a potentiometer as a position sensor.
